The best thing about writing is
that it allows me to be just who I am while learning so many things about
anything and everything I find interesting.
I’m Dandreb, that fabulous
blogger who lives a not so fabulous life but is surrounded by the most fabulous
of all people. I’m a big fan of Sharpay
Evans, hence my addiction to the word fabulous.
I came from a middle class family and I’m proud of it. But that doesn’t
stop me from dreaming fabulous dreams. Coming
from a middle class family is the reason why I don’t usually blog about
expensive stuff, unless I need to. I
always wanted that my readers could relate to me and could take pleasure on
what I am blogging about. I’m a lover of
great buys at affordable prices. But
above all, I love my parents. They mean
the world to me.
I’m the type of person who could
be extremely crazy, extremely serious, and extremely boring. I also am that type of creative who is too
outside the box, what I vomit is insanely weird. My friends, especially my own clique makes me
sane and insane at the same time. We do
crazy stuff together. And why wouldn’t
we? We call ourselves babo(Korean term for idiot). We simply make a fool of ourselves.
I’ve been painting recently. Because of that, I found myself falling in
love with arts. I aspire to be a fashion
designer and I love fashion. Alexander McQueen and Michael Cinco are my fashion
heroes. However, I have such a bad taste when it comes to myself. I’m getting better though. I am a huge fan of Paulo Coelho and Bob Ong!
The Hunger Game series is the only series that I’ve read and enjoyed so much. And I wish a white wedding gown that burns
and becomes a black mockingjay-inspired gown does exist.
I also am an environmental
advocate. I organized Youth for Mother
Earth, a group that aims to channel youth empowerment through environmental action. I think that it is important for the young
ones to be educated about the problems so we can come up with innovative
solutions for these environmental problems and act upon it together. What is really important for society to
consider is that we grow economically but at the same time, use our resources
wisely. There should always be a balance
between economic development and environmental sustainability. And that undertaking isn’t just the concern
of a few but the concern of many, and that includes us. And yes, that is the serious side of me.
One thing most people would be
surprised to know about me is that I climb mountains. I joined a outdoor club
in school and I’ve been to many places here in the province that many people my
age might have not known or might have not seen. I admit, mountaineering is physically tiring
but it’s the kind of weariness you’ll love to have. The view above makes it
all worth it. I’ve also had some basic
training in kayaking which is really enjoyable, spelunking, and ascending. I still have to try rappelling.
I went through many ups and downs
in life and I am going through that rough road again. But as always, my optimism is high and my
faith in my God has been just as strong.
That is the message that I want to send to my younger readers: to always
feel good about themselves and just to stay positive. I always believe that when life gives you
lemons, you should make a lemonade and time to have a party. Seriously, bad times shouldn’t stop us from
being happy. So a toast for being the
young spirits that we are!
Launching this kind of blog allowed
me to get to know so many people and explore so many things. It actually brought me out of that shyness
that I have when I’m not with the people that I’m usually with. It’s an amazing feeling.
I’m Dandreb and I’m the fabulous
blogger behind this fabulous blog. Happy
reading!
